WR Bruce Suffers Injury

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Freshman wide receiver Sam Bruce sustained a non-football related injury to his lower extremity. Miami team doctors are still evaluating the extent of his injury. He will be out indefinitely.

The hits keep on coming to the 2016 Miami Hurricanes on the injury front. First it was Jamie Gordinier, who was ruled out for the rest of the season when UM confirmed his injury earlier this week. Yesterday Adrian Colbert and Courtel Jenkins suffered potentially serious injuries. Today, it's Bruce.

At 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, Bruce was one of the state's top wide receiver prospects in the 2016 class. He's currently serving a three-game suspension for off-the-field issues and now he's dealing with an injury that UM deemed serious enough to announce to the media.

Sources tell CanesTime that the injury will likely be a season-ending one for the talented freshman.

Stay tuned for more information on this later.
