Alex Pou Talks About Miami

So far this season, Alex Pou has been flat out awesome, clearly establishing himself as one of the premier line prospects in not only the state, but the entire country. Pou talks about his current favorites, the status of Miami, UM line coach Art Kehoe, and more all in this interview.

At 6-foot-4, Alex Pou is up to 285 pounds. Amazingly, he ripped off a 5.00 at Auburn on track. Therefore, he's a legit 5.15 kid on grass. Pou plays both ways and is averaging about eight pancake blocks per game this season. He was outstanding against Northwestern two weeks ago. Inside the classroom, Pou is already fully qualified.

Which schools have been calling this month: Georgia Tech, Northwestern, UM, West Virginia, Clemson, Tennessee, Iowa, Auburn, N.C. State, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Tulane, and Rutgers.

Which schools have sent you scholarship offers in the mail: Pretty much all of those schools. I have 23 offers.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: I really dont know yet. I have it down to a top six - UM, Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida.

Talk about Miami: I'm very interested in Miami. They're right down the road. I like Coach Kehoe a lot, I think he's a great coach. Jon (Vilma) and Frank (Gore) are doing really well there. Again, I'm very interested in Miami, but I'm also open to leaving the state.

Have you scheduled any visits yet: No sir, not yet.

Personally, I still like our chances with this kid. Pou has been a major UM target for awhile now and Art Kehoe is probably the best recruiter on this coaching staff. I'd love to land a Gables kid for the third straight year, and I think there's a good chance of that happening with Pou.
