Elder Reflects on His Time at Miami

Read on to see everything he was saying.

Corn Elder, Sr., Defensive Back

On playing his final game as a Hurricane…

“It is exciting. It has been a fun four years and hopefully we can end it off with a victory. It is always special when you can play your last game, in something like college, I am definitely excited for it.”

On the difference a year has made, after not deciding to go Pro last season…

“I think my game definitely improved a lot over the past year. I matured a lot, I learned a lot over the years from coach romp and Diaz. And I think overall as a person I definitely matured.”

On if he could ever see himself not playing in the final Bowl game, to worry about training for the Pros…

“No, one more game with my brothers is always special. I love this team, the coaching staff and just the whole program. So any chance I get to play another game with them, I always will. I don’t know those other guys’ situations, might be injuries or something. For me always getting to play another game with my brothers, is definitely a goal.”

On how impressed he was on the freshman this season…

“Oh man, they were great. Coming in as a freshman starting linebacker, that is hard to do. Linebacker, that is like the quarterback of the defense. So for those guys to come in and play the way they did was definitely special. Definitely speaks to the way they worked throughout the off season and everything. It was definitely great to see.”

On what he is looking forward to this week as a player…

“Just enjoying it with my teammates, all the activities and everything. The bowl game is a bit different from a regular game. You have all the things coming up. The team bonding events and everything. I am definitely excited to have fun with my teammates and also to work hard when we are out there in practice and in the game. And hopefully just get a win.”
