"We're ready," Guthrie said. "It's going to feel real good to be on the field again. I wasn't able to play in the spring against them and now I'm pumped. I can't wait. You better be there."
Guthrie, who has a passing SAT score and 4.7 speed, is one of the top tight end prospects in the state of Florida. He had several scholarship offers before the summer started after transferring from Columbus HS. He now plays with two kids that have already committed to Miami -- JR Bryant and Bobby Washington.
"We have talked about playing together in college," he said. "Miami's still one of my top choices. They've been my leader for a long time now and I might commit soon, I don't know. I guess I'm just waiting for the right time."
Guthrie, who is also considering Florida and Boston College, has several other offers as well. He is hoping to attend the UM/Florida game in the Orange Bowl on Saturday.
TE May Commit Soon
