Injury Update

Yesterday after practice Head Coach Larry Coker discussed the injury status of several key players.

WR Jason Geathers (hamstring)
"He was back in practice today. He looked pretty good today. He was a little tentative coming out of his breaks, but we encouraged that."

When healthy: Top-Four Wide Receiver; would have likely started at the beginning of the year had he been healthy.

OG Vernon Carey (ankle)
"We held Vernon out of a lot of things today. We need to see how it goes throughout the week. We did not do very much with him today. We really need to get him well. He tweaked his ankle pretty good when he got spun around. He is 300-plus pounds and that is a lot of torque when that happens. If Vernon does not play Alex Pou will likely take his place as a starter."

When healthy: Starting Left Guard.

OT Carlos Joseph (ankle)
"He split time with Rashad Butler today. I expect Carlos to play on Saturday. I feel good about Rashad and it will be a game-time decision on who starts, it could go either way."

When healthy: Starting Right Tackle

WR Devin Hester (ankle)
Hester was in a walking boot today with crutches. "I'd say he is questionable for Saturday's game. He is still casted and is definitely questionable."

When healthy: Kick Returner/reserve Wide Receiver

SS Greg Threat (hamstring)
"We held him out of most everything today. He is not ready to play yet."

When healthy: Back-up Strong Safety

FB Talib Humphrey (Achilles)
"He was back in today."

When healthy: Third-string Fullback.

CB Glenn Sharpe (quadricep)
"He was back in practice today."

When healthy: Fourth Cornerback; used in nickel and dime packages.
