Canes Offer California RB

One of the top running back prospects in the state of California says the Hurricanes recently offered him. Read on to learn about it.

"Proud to say that I've received my 5th offer from University of Miami," Charles Mincy Jr announced on social media earlier this week.

At 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, Mincy is a 2019 running back prospect from Dorsey HS in Los Angeles.

Mincy says Michigan and Oregon were two of his first four offers and he says he's added Tennessee, Colorado, Fresno State, and Louisville this week in addition to the Hurricanes.

Mincy finished his sophomore season in 2016 with 920 yards and 10 touchdowns on 109 carries. He also added a pair of receptions for 90 yards and one touchdown.

Miami has two running back commitments in their 2018 class (Lorenzo Lingard and Camron Davis) but they don't have any in their 2019 class. While it's unlikely the Canes will actively recruit an out of state running back in either class, Mincy announced this offer so it's worth mentioning.
