Canes Make Cut for 4-star DT

The Hurricanes are searching the entire nation for elite defensive tackle prospects to add to their 2018 recruiting class. One of the best has cut his list of schools down and Miami's on it. Read on for more.

Trevor Trout was offered by Miami earlier this spring and he has cut his list down to 15 schools, he announced on social media yesterday.

USC, UCLA, Texas A&M, Penn State, Oklahoma, Missouri, Minnesota, TCU, LSU, Illinois, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Alabama are the other schools who made the cut, according to Trout.

At 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, Trout is a 4-star defensive tackle prospect from Chaminade HS in St Louis.

Coach Kool's ties to that area, dating back to his coaching days at Missouri, are likely going to help Miami here.

The Canes currently own the nation's top-ranked 2018 recruiting class and it features one DT commitment -- Nesta Silvera.
