1-on-1 with Edorian McCollough

At 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, Edorian McCollough is generally considered one of the elite prospects from the state of Texas. He gives an update on his recruiting status, and talks indephtly about the University of Miami and where they're at on his list in this exclusive interview.

McCollough goes 5-10 and 175. He didn't attend any summer camps, but says he gets timed in track season and is a 4.35 kid on track, making him about a 4.42 kid on grass. In three games this season, the speedy running back prospect has 56 carries for 391 yards and one touchdown. Inside the classroom, he carries a 2.0 core GPA and has not yet taken the SAT.

Which schools have been calling you this month: Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Miami, and Nebraska.

Which schools have sent you scholarship offers in the mail: All of those schools I just named.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: I'm wide open, I dont know right now.

Have you scheduled any official visits yet: No sir, not yet.

Do you know which ones you plan on visiting: Probably the five schools I mentioned.

Talk about Miami: I like Miami a lot. They've been looking real good. I like their offense and Coach Stoops (the coach recruiting Edorian). They have a good atmosphere there.

Personally, I've never watched him play. He says Miami's recruiting him as a running back, but so do a lot of kids. Cornerback probably makes more sense. I got absolutely no feel for which way he might be leaning, so the safe pick is probably Texas if he can qualify academically. He said he takes the test on Oct 13. With his core, he'll need to score pretty high.
