"Man, these guys can't cover me," Ingram said. "I've been ballin, catching balls, catching touchdowns."
Ingram has helped his team to a 3-1 start, although he'd like to have the loss -- against Lincoln -- back. Edgewater lost 14-10.
"I had caught a pass late in the game and had nothing but grass ahead of me and all of a sudden, I had this really, really bad cramp and I went straight to the ground. I was so mad because we should have beaten them."
Ingram had a touchdown and an interception in that game and has several of each on the season so far. His team takes on cross-town rival Apopka on Friday.
"They're play man coverage and they're gonna use a 5-8 corner on me," he said. "I can't wait. I'm gonna show up big this week."
Ingram, 6-5 and 210 pounds, is also enjoying the college football season this year.
"I went to the Florida/Miami game," he said. "That place went crazy when Miami started coming back. Everyone was standing up and yelling, I had never seen anything like that. Me and Aaron (Jones) went into the locker room after the game to see what the team was like. It was crazy in there too. Everyone was happy, jumping up and down, it was tight. We're going up to Tallahassee next weekend for the Miami/Florida State game."
Ingram has become such a major prospect that he's already growing tired of all the phone calls.
"It's crazy," he said. "I'm starting to get way too many calls. If I don't know the number of who's calling, I don't even answer it. I never thought this many coaches would be calling."
Ingram still hears from the UM coaches on a weekly basis and continues to put the Hurricanes high on his list.
"They right there," he said. "I've enjoyed watching them and they're having a great year. They want me and Aaron and we're going to visit there and everything. It's still Miami, USC, Florida State, and LSU."
The talented defensive back will not take his visits until after the season.
"My coach has told the coaches that are recruiting me not to bother setting up any visits until after my season," he said. "After it's over, I'll have more time and I'll be able to go."
Ingram has scholarship offers from all of his favorites. Jones also lists the Canes as one of his favorites.
"He likes Miami a lot too," he said. "We're both looking hard at Miami and FSU. I got USC and LSU too but there's a good chance we'll go together."
