Ryan Moore Interview

At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Ryan Moore is one of the nation's elite wide receiver prospects. The Orlando standout talks about recruiting, his visit list, and about the University of Miami in this exclusive interview with grassy.com.

At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Orlando (Dr. Phillips) standout Ryan Moore might be the No. 1 prospect in the state this season. He's in a tie with Devin Aromashodu at No. 1 on my list. He's got everything you want in a wide receiver prospect, with 4.44 speed to go with it. In four games this season, Moore has just under 500 yards receiving, over 100 rushing, and has scored six total touchdowns. Inside the classroom, he's a full qualifier with a 3.0 GPA and 890 SAT score.

Which schools have been calling you on the phone this month: All the Florida schools, Tennessee, South Carolina, USC, and Georgia.

Which of those schools have sent you scholarship offers: All of them have.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: I really dont know right now. It's too early to tell. I'm wide open. I'll know more after my visits.

Have you scheduled any visits yet: No, but I'm in the process of doing that. I'll probably visit the Florida schools for sure, but I don't have any dates yet.

Talk about Miami: I like Miami a lot. They're very much in the hunt. I like Coach Soldinger. And they're having a great season.

Personally, I think Moore is totally wide open right now. I dont think he's going to leave the state, so it's probably a three-team battle. An interesting side note - Moore is very good friends with a wide receiver from Tampa named Mike Williams. They played together in some basketball tournaments over the summer. While Moore said it doesn't matter if they go to college together, it might turn out to be somewhat of a factor considering Williams is being recruited by Florida State and Florida, but not Miami. But again, I dont think it'll be a factor in Moore's decision. And whenever we have Coach Soldinger recruiting a big time kid, I really like our chances. Stay tuned, this one will probably come down to the wire.
