Recruiting Continues for Hall

At 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, Hall was one of the state's top prospects a year ago. After being ruled ineligible to play at N.C. State as a freshman, Hall was strongly considering coming to Miami following a season in Junior College. Well, it's a month into the season and we have the latest.

I spoke to Willie Holloway, the father of Tremain last night. "Tremain is at L.A. Valley Community College," Holloway said. "He's not playing for them this season, but he's practicing to stay in shape."

"The reason he's just practicing is so he can get all of his classwork completed on time to get back into a 4-year school as soon as possible."

The last time I spoke to Hall, in late August, he was considering coming to the University of Miami in January.

"We spoke to Tremain last night," he said. "N.C. State continues to stay in touch. UCLA and Southern Cal have been calling him, and an Ohio State coach went out to see another player there and noticed Tremain, so they started recruiting him."

"Back in August, Miami said they would love to have Tremain, but we just haven't heard anything from them lately."

Personally, it sounds to me like UM has decided to go in different directions. Hall's a great player and I think will be a very good college football player someday, but it appears that it won't be at the University of Miami.
