Practice Report - 10/2/2001

Here are some updates from practice including Troy Prasek being back from the hospital and an update on the D.J. Williams injury.

Troy Prasek was released from the hospital yesterday after spending this past weekend in the hospital with fluids around his heart caused by an infection. He will be back at practice later this week.

In a worst case scenario Buck Ortega (red shirting) will be the third string QB and if not Ethnic Sands could be moved back to QB but don't expect that.

D.J. Williams was also at practice today with a cast on his ankle and it seems doubtful that he will play this weekend. Coach Coker said today that Howard Clark will start if D.J. Williams is unable to start.

"It's good any time you start" said Clark. "I don't know how long it is going to last. I'll just continue to keep playing hard and let the coaches decide whatever they decide. Obviously you come to Miami and you don't want to be 2nd to anyone. You want to be on the first team but again it is the coaches' decision."
