WR Provides The Latest

At 6-foot-4 and 178 pounds, Arlington (Texas) Grace Prep standout wide receiver Lance Leggett is one of the nation's premier wide receiver prospects and he has the offers to prove it -- Miami, Florida State, Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas to name a few.

"I'm a Florida boy," Leggett said. "That's where I want to play in college. I've seen all three (programs) and I like them all but Miami and Florida stick out a little bit more."

The talented receiver received visits at school on Friday from coaches Ed Fedora (Florida) and Dan Werner (Miami).

"They came by just to check on me I guess," he said. "They know I'm interested in both of them."

Leggett has been on visits to Miami, Oklahoma, Florida, and Purdue. He's not sure about the fifth one yet.

"I've been to A&M unofficially," he said. "Texas is talking about (a visit). I don't know, maybe I'm done with them. I'm not even thinking about (recruiting) too much right now."

The talented wide receiver talks to UM coach Curtis Johnson on a regular basis.

"He's cool, I like him a lot," he said. "He keeps it real with me. He's trying to bring in the best receivers this year and he wants me. I loved it in Miami when I went for my visits. Seeing Kellen Winslow and guys like that, it was tight."

Leggett got close to making a commitment on a few occasions but decided to wait it out.

"I really liked Miami and then I really liked Florida," he said. "Like I said, I'm not really sweatin it too much. Whenever I know, I'll go ahead and make my decision. It's up in the air right now."
