Ohio Product May Visit

At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, Ohio's George Cooper is one of the top prospects in that state. He talks about the recruiting process, which schools are actively recruiting him, and offers his insights on the Miami program. All of this is contained in this exclusive interview with grassy.com.

At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, Cooper didn't attend any summer camps but says he's a 4.7 or 4.8 kid over 40 yards. Inside the classroom, he's fully qualified with a 3.4 GPA and 1160 SAT score. Through six games this season, Cooper has 14 catches for 290 yards and no touchdowns. Playing outside linebacker, Cooper has five sacks and one interception.

Which schools have been calling you this month: Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Arizona State, and the University of Miami.

Which of those schools have sent you scholarship offers: So far just Ohio State, Georgia Tech, and Pittsburgh.

If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: I really couldn't say right now. I'd like to see what other schools are going to offer me.

Have you scheduled any official visits: I'll be doing all that after the season.

Talk about the University of Miami: They are looking pretty good right now. I saw their game last week and they beat up on Pitt pretty good. I was very impressed.

Personally, it sounds like Cooper is totally focused on his season and academics right now and isn't real interested in recruiting yet, which will start taking place after the season. If Miami offers a scholarship, anything can happen, especially if he visits. But right now it's real hard to tell since UM hasn't offered and he doesn't seem real focused on recruiting just yet. Stay tuned.
