ATH Very High on UM

At 6-feet and 225 pounds, Bradenton (Fla.) Bayshore standout quarterback SirDarean Adams hasn't been challenged a whole lot this season.

"Man, this season has been fun so far but I just wish there could be more of a challenge sometime," Adams said. "I got 40 carries for 698 yards and 14 touchdowns and I got seven touchdowns called back. Actually, it may be more than that."

Adams has led his team to the district championship, after his team defeated Charlotte last week.

"I don't know what was up with the refs but I had four touchdowns called back," he said. "It was crazy. We beat them and that's what matters."

The talented athlete could project at a number of positions at the college level.

"Some say quarterback, some say running back, receiver, or safety" he said. "It doesn't matter to me. I'll start ballin wherever they put me."

Adams said he talks with UM coach Art Kehoe on a weekly basis, including this past Saturday.

"We talked about keeping my grades up," he said. "Coach Kehoe said I gotta stay on top of those. I got a 17 on the ACT the first time and I need an 18. My GPA is going up so I think I'll actually be good with a 17 but I wanna score a couple points higher just in case. I'll be straight though."

Adams has already taken an official visit to Michigan State and has a couple others scheduled.

"I'm going to Nebraska in two weeks," he said. "I also got Ohio State. I'm gonna visit Miami in January and then my last one will be either Florida, Georgia, or Florida State."

The talented athlete said the Hurricanes are near the top of his list.

"I like Miami a lot," he said. "Coach Kehoe is cool. I've been to the games there. I'm driving to the Tennessee game next weekend. I think I fit in there. They win, they have good competition, everything."

Adams has written scholarship offers from all of his favorites.
