DT Talks About UM

At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Greensboro (NC) Dudley standout defensive tackle Demario Pressley is widely considered one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the entire country.

With 55 tackles and 10 sacks, he's having the type of year that helps prove that.

"Man, I get sick of it sometimes though," Pressley said. "I've had teams use a guard, center, and a fullback to block me. Three guys. And that still won't stop me. Teams always run the other way, roll the quarterback the other way, it's crazy."

The highlight of the lineman's season was a play he was involved in a few weeks ago.

"I picked a ball off and ran it back about 20 yards for a score," he said. "They may be able to triple team me but I'll still make my plays."

Pressley is being recruited nationally. He talked about the process.

"I haven't figured out my visits yet," he said. "I was all set to go to Notre Dame but then I decided that wasn't for me. I wasn't feelin them anymore so I didn't go. North Carolina, Florida State, Miami, NC State, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech -- those are the ones I'm looking at still. They all told me I do (have an offer)."

The talented defender said playing close to home isn't a big factor in his decision.

"Close, far, it doesn't matter," he said. "I just wanna play right away."

Pressley talked more about the Hurricanes.

"I like Miami a lot," he said. "Who wouldn't want to play there? But I ain't talked to Randy Shannon in awhile though. It's been over a month but sometimes I miss the calls when the coaches call. If he starts calling again, I will take a visit because that's one of the places I'm considering."
