Miami Dominates TSU

Miami geared up for Florida State with a 38-7 blow out of Troy State. Miami played many backups early and clearly were looking ahead to next week's big match-up in Tallahassee.

Miami came out very reserved and took a 7-0 lead after an 11 yard TD catch by Andre Johnson from QB Ken Dorsey with 5:11 left in the first quarter.

Troy State scored a touchdown to tie the game at the end of the first quarter with a two yard pass from Brock Nutter to Lebarron.

Miami finished out the second quarter with a 34 yard FG by Todd Sievers and a 22 yard touchdown catch by WR Kevin Beard to go up 17-7 at the half.

Miami opened up the second half with the play of the game - and the year - a 27 yard interception for a TD by safety Ed Reed to put the 'Canes up 24-7.

Miami finished up the third quarter with two more touchdowns as Jarrett Payton scored on a two yard run and Willis McGahee added a seven yard run to make it 38-7.

Both Miami and Troy State spent the fourth quarter playing back ups as neither team scored and the game finished with a 38-7 Miami win.
