Local DE Still Getting Looks

Miami (Fla.) Southwest standout defensive end E.J. Jones had a tough senior season, mainly because his team struggled. "We're 1-8 right now and it hasn't been a whole lot of fun," Jones said. "It was fun moving around and playing different positions. I played end, tackle, linebacker, fullback, all over."

Jones, 6-2 and 230 pounds, is a sleeper defensive end prospect from south Florida. He still gets weekly calls from several college coaches.

"Colorado State, South Florida, and Ole Miss still call a lot," he said. "They want me to set up an official visit. I'm going to Colorado State for sure but I don't remember the exact date."

The talented defensive end, who has four sacks this season, talked more about the Hurricanes.

"I've talked to UM a few times but I don't think they're as serious as the other ones," he said. "They don't call much so maybe they're going with other guys instead."

Jones will take his visits before making a decision.

"I wanna visit the three I mentioned and UM too," he said. "I need to see who offers."
