WR Ready For UM Offer

At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Memphis (Tenn.) Melrose standout wide receiver/defensive back Carlos Armour is having a very productive senior season. While helping his team to a 10-1 record, Armour has eight touchdown receptions on offense and five interceptions on defense.

His senior season has made several major college programs catch on to his skills. He's now one of the top prospects in the state of Tennessee.

"The ones that have (offered) are Memphis, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Louisville, and Arkansas," he said. "I hear from them a lot. The one I'm really hoping for is Miami."

Armour talked more about the Hurricanes.

"I've been talking to them a lot lately," he said. "They haven't offered me a scholarship yet but it's something they've talked about. They just need to see more tape and they should be getting it real soon. I'm hoping they do (offer me)."

The talented receiver prospect has visits scheduled to Louisville and Arkansas and is saving a spot for the Hurricanes.

"The other three, I'm not sure of right now," he said. "Miami will be one of them. If they offer, it would look real good for them. Miami's one of my top choices. That's Miami."

Armour is a full academic qualifier.
