Miller Has Excellent Visit

Sarasota (Fla.) Riverview standout offensive lineman Drew Miller took his second official visit of the year when he visited UM this weekend. "I was very impressed with Miami," Miller said. "I had a really good time on my visit. Chris Myers was my host and we were with Joel (Rodriguez) and Eric Winston a lot. We had a lot of fun."

At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Miller said the official visit was a little different than the unofficial trips he's previously taken to UM.

"There was more going on this time," he said. "I got a chance to talk to the academic people, hang out with the players, and I just got a better feel for what it's like to be out there."

The talented offensive lineman said one of the best parts about his visit was a trip to the Orange Bowl.

"We had police escorts to the stadium and then we had a great time when we got there," he said. "One at a time, we had our jerseys on and ran out of the tunnel through the smoke with a PA announcer. It was pretty cool, a little different. Everyone, we really enjoyed that."

Miller hung out with some other recruits on his visit, including tight end Zach Miller.

"Since I was with the linemen and his host was Eric Winston, we were together a lot," he said. "He was really enjoying it. He likes Miami a lot."

Miller also spent time with the UM coaches and said Coach Kehoe was himself.

"He's really intense and he was just being himself," he said. "Coach Coker's a real nice guy, I could see myself playing for him."

The standout lineman plans on taking three more visits -- Florida (1/9), Tennessee (1/16), and Florida State (1/23) -- before making a final decision.

"I've always liked Miami up there," he said. "I had a really good visit and they're still one of my top choices but I don't really have (a favorite)."
