"Florida was tight," Joseph said. "I had fun out there. It was about 15 of us out there, some of the cats I already knew. They have a real good football program. I like the coaches and players and I think I fit in."
Joseph talked about the differences between the two programs.
"Miami's a big city with a great football program in it," he said. "Florida's more of a college town, everyone talks about the football program. But being a player, they're real similar. I could do well at both. There's gonna be a little more competition at Miami while at Florida I think I could play right away. All that doesn't really matter to me though because I'm willing to redshirt if that's what it takes."
The talented defensive lineman, who weighed in at 280 pounds during his visit to Florida, will be getting visits from coaches at both programs later this week.
"A bunch of Miami's coaches are coming by the school on Tuesday and Florida's coming on Wednesday," he said. "I'll sit down with those guys and see what they're talkin about. It's all even right now. I'll visit Tennessee next week and then take a little time to make a final decision. It'll probably be around National Signing Day."
Joseph also participated in the CaliFlorida all-star game last weekend and was one of the game's top defensive lineman.
"I was chillin with Brandon Siler, Kenny Ingram, Bobby Washington, Tony Joiner, a bunch of guys," he said. "The game was real sloppy because of the field conditions. Some of the guys there are going to Miami, some to Florida. Some aren't decided yet, like Kenny."
Joseph is a full academic qualifier.
