DB Now Favors Two After Visit

When Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas defensive back Anthony Reddick returned home from his previous visits, he wasn't quite sure what he was thinking. Now with three visits in the books, he's getting a better idea.

"I took my trip to UM this weekend," Reddick said. "It was fun. It was a real good trip. Just the overall atmosphere was the best part. It's a great program, it's close to home, and all the players and coaches are real cool."

Reddick, 6-1 and 195 pounds, is playing in the Dade/Broward all-star game on Monday night. He's one of the two starting safeties. He was hanging out with another defensive back on the visit.

"Trevor Ford was there too," he said. "He's a great player and said he really likes Miami too. We hung out. There was a guy from Wisconsin there that said he was having a great visit and that he really liked Miami. A lot of guys seemed real interested and plus they had some guys that were already committed, like the running back (Derron Thomas)."

Reddick met with the UM coaches earlier today and let them know where the Hurricanes stand.

"It's out of Miami and Georgia right now," he said. "I have a visit to Florida State for next weekend and then I'll make a decision in the middle of the following week. I felt great at Georgia. It was a family atmosphere there and I really adjusted well to the environment there. UM's close and they have a great program. You really can't go wrong with either of them so now I'll take this last visit and figure everything out from there."

The standout defensive back said he had a chance to hang out with several current players.

"We were with pretty much the whole team," he said. "I like that about them, they're a real tight group. They're all close with each other. Vilma was with us, Jon Beason, Javon Nanton, Antrel Rolle, a bunch of them."

Reddick is a full academic qualifier.
