Anderson Updates His Status

Oak Creek, Wisc. standout defensive end Rhyan Anderson has now taken all of his official visits -- Oklahoma, Southern Cal, Ohio State, Florida, and Miami. He took his trip to UM over the weekend. "It was straight," Anderson said.

"It was nice, I liked it a lot. I was with Jonathan Vilma a lot. He was just telling me how it is at Miami."

The talented defensive lineman was hanging out with several fellow recruits over the weekend.

"I was with Chris Rutledge, Johnny Peyton, Octavius (Darby), and Trevor Ford," he said. "Those guys were all cool. We all got along and just had fun together."

The talented defensive lineman, who is scheduled to get an in-home visit from Ohio State's Jim Tressel on Tuesday, said the best part about the first night was taking a trip to the Orange Bowl.

"We were at the stadium and they had our names on their jerseys," he said. "We put them on and ran onto the field. It was fun. It felt like we were getting ready to play so I wanted to get it on with somebody." Anderson spent Saturday with the other recruits checking out the school and other aspects of the program.

"I noticed they have about five or six defensive ends that are already playing," he said. "They have one guy committed. I think I can play right away if I go."

Now that he's finished with his visits, he can sit back and compare all of them.

"I'm gonna take a couple days to study for my finals," he said. "I have till the 4th. It's a hard decision. All my visits were pretty much the same. All the players were saying the same things, all the coaches were. It's all the same everywhere you go. It just has to do with where you feel comfortable. I'll be able to spend the next couple weeks figuring that out. Nobody leads right now."
