5 FSU Coaches Visit Jones

Less than a week after four University of Miami coaches made an in-home visit with Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater defensive tackle Aaron Jones, five Florida State coaches made the trip.

"Miami sent four last week and FSU had five here today, including Bobby Bowden," Jones said. "It was good talking to them. They cleared some things up."

After visiting with the UM coaches last week, Jones told us that the Hurricanes had pushed into the lead. Have things changed?

"Actually, it's back to being dead even again," he said. "I can't believe how hard this is going to be. The coaches today helped me with some things. They made me feel real good when they told me that I'm a major priority. They said guys like Ernie Sims and Leon Washington were major priorities before. Now I am this year. They want me bad and I can tell. That made me feel pretty good about them."

Jones said the Hurricanes are still very high on his list.

"Nothing's changed with Miami," he said. "I still realize how big of an opportunity that is. They seem to want me too. It's gonna be a hard decision."

The talented defensive lineman was scheduled to announce his decision on Countdown to Signing Day next Wednesday. That may be on hold.

"I may not even be ready by then," he said. "I'm gonna have to see what I can do about it. I'm going to N.C. State this weekend and then I'll come back and really start to think hard about it. It's still Miami and Florida State at the top. I really don't know what I'll do. It's such a big decision, an important one."
