"Everything went really well," Louis said. "They made me feel wanted, like they really needed me and that made me feel in place. If you think about it, that's Miami. They can pretty much go out and get whoever they want."
Louis, 6-4 and 230 pounds, said he enjoyed just being around the program.
"I got to chill with some of the guys that are from Louisiana," he said. "Akieem Jolla, guys like that. They like it and were telling me about it. A lot of recruits were on the visit and a lot of guys were talkin good about Miami."
The talented tight end said one of the highlights of the trip was meeting some of the UM coaches.
"The new tight ends coach, he was real cool," he said. "He was telling me how it is, how they want me and stuff. I felt real comfortable around him. I think I can fit in well right now but I just need to check out my other options first."
Louis, who doubles as a defensive end is scheduled to receive an in-home visit from Larry Coker later this week. He said the Canes are in good shape.
"They offered me and I'm really excited about that," he said. "Miami's on top right now. I just gotta sit down and figure out if that's the best place for me. It looks good right now though."
