OL Remains Excited About UM

Strongsville, Ohio offensive lineman Josh Kerr took his official visit to the University of Miami over the weekend and came away impressed. He talked about the visit.

"I got there on Friday night around 9:30," Kerr said. "I got a chance to meet all the coaches and some of the players. I checked out the facilities and the academic buildings and stuff like that. It was really a nice place."

Kerr, 6-4 and 260, said he enjoyed meeting with all the other coaches in addition to Art Kehoe, who visited Kerr at his home last week.

"All the coaches are great," he said. "They're really laid back and they're all fun and easy to talk to. Some of the players were telling me that what you see is what you get with them. They're real down to earth and all the players play hard for them. I enjoyed hearing that."

The talented offensive lineman met with coaches from Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Miami last week. Coaches from Cincinnati were there again last night.

"Coach Kehoe was at my house from 12 until 9 last Monday," he said. "He seemed really interested."

So does Kerr have a scholarship offer from the Hurricanes? He talked about that situation.

"Some of my coaches at school said Miami was going to be offering me a scholarship but I never actually heard that from the Miami coaches," he said. "I'm not sure exactly where I stand with that right now. I know they're still waiting on my transcripts."

He did get a chance to meet with Larry Coker one-on-one before he left Miami.

"He was just telling me how much they like me and how he likes the way I play," he said. "He said Miami would be a good place for me."

The talented offensive lineman said he'll take one more visit before making a final decision.

"I will go to Cincinnati this weekend and then I'll be able to come back and make a final decision," he said. "I really don't know what I'll do right now."
