CanesTime.com Future Plans

As we begin to close out the football recruiting season, the staff at CanesTime.com would like to fill you in on what we have in our future plans. The traffic on our message boards and chat room is at an all-time high, as is the number of stories we're providing on a daily basis. We'd like to take this opportunity to make you aware of what's coming up.

Beginning with post-recruiting coverage, we will have post-signing day interviews with all of the newest Hurricanes that inked with UM on Wednesday. Get behind the scenes information on all the newest Hurricanes from recruiting editor Mike Bakas, who has been in constant contact with these kids since last spring. He'll take you inside the minds of these kids and will let the players present to you why they really chose Miami, what specific things happened during the recruiting process, and a look forward to their future careers at Miami. With more than 25 new kids joining the program today, there will be plenty to talk about in the coming weeks!

As we finish up with the class of 2004 players, we begin to look at the newest group of recruits. Bakas spent all last weekend covering two large NIKE Training Combines, which drew over 700 rising seniors. He'll begin having profiles and interviews with some of the state's best juniors. Who will be this year's version of Willie Williams? Is there a running back in-state that can break into the mix of tailbacks at UM? He'll have all those questions answered and many more in the coming weeks, as he profiles the state's best juniors.

One of the new features to the site that we're obviously very excited about is the introduction of video to the fans. Instead of simply reading about the players like you've done in the past, you'll soon have an opportunity to watch many of them from the comfort of your own home or office. We feel this will soon become one of the site's most powerful features.

Of course recruiting is just part of the product we provide here at CanesTime.com. As we begin looking ahead to spring practice, CanesTime.com beat writers Christopher Stock and Fernando Ruano will have the entire team covered. From the latest injury reports to the breaking news surrounding the program during spring ball, CanesTime.com will be your source for UM football information.

A popular feature of the premium package has been interviews with current players and coaches. Our entire staff will provide in-depth interviews with players and coaches as we get insights into what is really happening inside the program. Do you want to know of all the latest position changes? Which players are making an impact during offseason workouts? Which players may be ready for a breakout season in 2004? We'll have all that covered with exclusive interviews throughout the next several months leading up till the start of the season.

While kickoff against Florida State is still several months away, the CanesTime.com staff would like to take a moment and thank you for your support. As you can see, we have a lot planned for the coming weeks and months as we move into February. While it may be the offseason on the field, it certainly isn't an offseason here at CanesTime.com.
