At 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Tallahassee (Fla) Lincoln quarterback Gavin Dickey knows how to win. Afterall, his record as the Trojans starting quarterback is now 36-2. In 10 games this season, Dickey has thrown for 1,746 yards and 18 touchdowns. He's also added 722 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. Inside the classroom, Dickey is a full academic qualifier. Dickey was one of the quarterbacks who participated in the Elite 11 Camp back in July. "Gavin improved as much as anyone else at the camp," said Greg Biggins, one of the camp's directors.

Which schools have been calling you lately and which of them have sent you scholarship offers: I have four visits set up and they all call me every week. And they have all offered. They are Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Southern Cal.

Talk about your official visit schedule: I visited Notre Dame in October. It went great. It was the USC game. I had a good time with my teammate Greg Threat. I'm going to visit Georgia Tech in December, and I'm going to visit Miami and Southern Cal in January. Miami's on the 18th and USC's on the 25th. I'm not sure if I will take a fifth visit. I'm still considering Clemson and Syracuse.

If signing day were tomorrow, who gets Gavin Dickey: (laughing) That's a good question. I dont even know. My top four are all even right now. They all give me a great opportunity.

Why Notre Dame: Well, I went on a visit there and I really enjoyed it. I think I fit in well there.

Why Georgia Tech: They have a great offense. The quarterback is the featured person on their team. I love their offense.

Why Southern Cal: They have a new coaching staff and Norm Chow is the best quarterbacks coach in college fotball I think. He's coached some great quarterbacks and I love his play-calling.

Why Miami: I have been a Miami fan for a long time. The quarterback is given a great opportunity in their offense because you have so many great athletes surrounding you. They always have great players at every position. I just think it would be great to play in a Hurricanes unirom.

What about Florida State: It's kinda weird because they offered me as an athlete first, then they tried to offer me as a quarterback. I dont know about that.

What are the chances of playing together with Pat Watkins in college: We never really planned on it, but we're considering some of the same schools. If it happens, it would just be a coincidence.

Personally, I think Dickey remains wide open, although he seems really high on Southern Cal at this time. As an aside, Dickey said he will visit Miami with teammate Greg Threat, a cornerback. The visits will probably tell the whole story, so stay tuned for follow-up interviews with Dickey.
