Lewis, 6-0 and 235 pounds, had a solid spring jamboree performance against Madison County last Saturday night. Included in that performance was a 61-yard touchdown run on offense.
"A lot of people want me on defense and some are talking about fullback but I dont know about the whole fullback thing yet," said the first team All-State pick from 2003. "LSU, Tennessee, and Georgia were at the game on Saturday. A lot of coaches came to the school this month and some are calling the house. I just got off the phone a little while ago with Tennessee. Georgia Tech called, Notre Dame, Michigan, North Carolina, a bunch of them. A bunch of them said they're gonna offer me."
Lewis, who plans on camping at LSU, Georgia, and Miami, said he's still wide open right now. "I wanna hear more from Miami but I haven't talked to them yet," he said. "One of their coaches stopped by the school recently so I think they're interested. I know they really like Avery. They talked about me playing fullback. Right now, I just wanna see who offers and go from there. I'm just sittin back and chillin right now with the whole thing."
