"I wasn't able to make it out there to Oklahoma," Clay said. "We had went to a team camp at Alabama and when I got back, I wasn't able to make it. I think I'm rescheduling it for like July 24."
The talented linebacker prospect said he's very high on both programs.
"I got offers through the mail from both of them," he said. "They're both great programs. There's a lot to like about them. I wanna go out to Oklahoma to meet some of the coaches and to see what it's like out there."
Clay said he followed up his unofficial trip to UM with a phone call recently.
"I talked to Coach Walton and Coach Hargreaves," he said. "They just said they'd love to have me and to stay in touch. Miami's got a great shot, they're gonna be one of the teams in the end when I make a final decision. They win, they produce linebackers, and I had a great time down there. I loved it, really liked the coaches and everything."
Clay said he'd like to have his decision made by the early part of the regular season.
"I wanna have a decision ready after my first couple games this season," he said. "I wanna do it on the TV show (Countdown To Signing Day)."
