Practice Notes - 9/14

The fourth-ranked Miami Hurricanes football team practiced in full pads on Tuesday afternoon at the Greentree Practice Fields in preparation for Saturday's tilt with Louisiana Tech at 1 p.m. at the Orange Bowl.

"There is a lot of preparation that needs to be done in just a few days," head coach Larry Coker said. "The guys moved around pretty good today. It was a normal week for us, a normal Tuesday full-padded practice. We had to cover a lot today, but I think we got some things done."

The Hurricanes enter Saturday's showdown with the Bulldogs fairly healthy after last Friday night's 16-10 win over then-No. 4 ranked Florida State.

"Most of all, we are pretty healthy," Coker said. "We had some guys play through some bumps and bruises. Now we have just a few days to get ready, and we are working at it."

Sinorice Moss earned more playing time with his performance against the Seminoles. His four-catch, 112-yard outing that including the game-tying touchdown moved the wide receiver to the top of the depth chart.

"We are going to give Sinorice an opportunity to work with the first team," Coker said. "Sinorice played better on Friday, and he deserves a chance. If you don't do that (reward the player that plays better), why play better?"

Miami will return to the practice field at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Greentree Practice Fields.
