Morley Talks Recruiting

Top notch defensive back recruit Demetrice Morley was a hot topic in the recruiting circles over the last few months. His stock went through the roof and he made a surprise early commitment to Florida. Morley was in the Orange Bowl for the 'Canes vs. 'Noles.

"The Miami game was tight," Morley said. "I was pulling for the Canes and I knew they'd pull it out."

Morley watched the game next to fellow star recruit Antone Smith. He said despite the fact the Canes trailed most of the night, the two felt confident the Hurricanes would pull it off.

"That's just the way they are," he said. "Championship teams never die and they went into the 4th and overtime fighting."

Morley has been getting a number of recruiting calls already this month, including UM, Florida, and LSU.

"I'm still a commitment but I ain't signed or anything yet," he said. "I'm still looking at other schools and UM is one of them. They're close to home and of course their program speaks for itself."

Morley helped his team defeat Palmetto on opening night Saturday, as he had 10 tackles and a blocked kick.
