"We're off to a great start," Andrews said. "We're probably not as far along as we were last year at this time but we're right on track. We still hope to win another state title."
The talented safety prospect has close to 200 yards receiving on offense this season and over 40 tackles on defense.
"I just have a good idea of where the ball's going to be when I'm on defense," he said. "Nothing does over the top and I'm always in position to make a big play."
Andrews, who doubles as a basketball player during the offseason, currently has over a dozen scholarship offers. However, four stand out in his eyes right now.
"My two favorites haven't offered me yet -- Miami and Florida State," he said. "My other top two have and that's Florida and Georgia. I like Georgia a lot. They have a winning program and Coach Martinez is really cool. But I'm hoping to get an offer from either Miami or FSU."
One of the major reasons why Andrews would like an offer from one of those two programs is because teammate and close frind Conredge Collins is likely headed to one of the two schools for college.
"Me and him have talked about staying together," he said. "That would be the right situation. He has those two offers right now, though."
While Andrews is hearing from FSU coaches on a regular basis, Miami hasn't been actively recruiting him lately.
"I've talked to them a few times but mainly I've just been getting letters and stuff," he said. "They haven't called me in awhile so I'm not sure what's going on there. Maybe they're filling up or something."
Andrews said if the Hurricanes were to offer, it would be a tough choice to pass up.
"That's Miami man," he said. "They got the best program right now and it's close to home. But a lot is going to depend on who offers me and what me and Conredge might do together."
Asked about which one Collins favors at this point, Andrews wasn't quite sure.
"I don't even know," he said. "You'd have to ask him about that."
