UM Eyeing Fullback

Miami (Fla.) Northwestern fullback Adam Coffee has helped his team once again reach the state playoffs. They'll take on Plantation in the first round this week.

"We're focused," Coffee said. "We lost more than we expected to this season but now everyone's record is the same because it's playoff time. We need to do our thing out there."

The 6-1, 240-pound fullback continues getting recruiting attention from various Div. 1 programs.

"I have those offers from Florida, Auburn, and Mississippi State," he said. "I'm glad I got those because you never know what may happen. I'm looking hard at those schools. I've also been hearing some from Miami but I don't know what they're gonna do about the offer."

Coffee has been to the Orange Bowl a couple times this season for unofficial visits.

"I've been to a few of their games this season," he said. "They just gotta get things back on track."

Coffee has a few teammates who are being heavily recruited as well -- Chris Barney, Dustin Forston, and Leron King.

"We don't know what we're gonna do yet," he said. "We'd like to stick together but we gotta wait and see."
