Practice Notes: 11/16

Despite a recent rash of injuries, the University of Miami's 12th-ranked football team conducted a normal Tuesday practice with full-contact work at the Greentree Practice Fields.

HEAD COACH LARRY COKER

"There were questions asked earlier today about all of the injuries and bumps and bruises. We had a normal Tuesday practice. We were in full pads and we tackled. We competed against each other. The guys responded well and we had a good practice. We took a step today to have a chance to win the game."

"I was really pleased with the scout team. They really did a lot today to help us get better."

NOTES

* Coker expect LB Tavares Gooden to play on Saturday after playing solely on special teams last game. It is uncertain at this point if he will start.

* CB Antrel Rolle did not practice today because he was excused for an exam he had in class. It had nothing to do with the injury. He was at the meetings prior to practice.

* WR Ryan Moore did not travel to Virginia because he re-injured his ankle last Wednesday. He was not able to practice full speed last Thursday so they decided to keep him home. He will be evaluated day-by-day to see whether or not he will be ready for Saturday.

* QB Kyle Wright did "okay" today according to Coker. He was a little rusty and a little tentative on the ankle. It was originally reported as a sprained ankle, but he did have ligament damage. Coach feels like he should be able to play this week and Kyle feels the same way.
