Time To Find Out

Quinton Andrews knows a thing or two about making plays. He's been doing a lot of that all season. In 11 games, Andrews has over 600 yards receiving on offense and 4 picks on defense.

"I've been having a better than year than I did last year," Andrews said. "I'm just trying to do what I need to do to get our team back to Gainesville and defend our title."

Andrews, 5-11 and 180 pounds, projects as a safety at the college level. He's seen his share of star offensive players this season.

"The one that stands out is Mike Greco from Cardinal Gibbons," he said. "He's a great athlete -- the best guy I've seen all year."

The talented safety prospect said he hasn't been focusing much on the recruiting scene lately.

"I still get the calls each week from people like Georgia, Kansas State, Kansas, West Virginia, and Ohio State," he said. "I haven't decided on my visits yet."

Andrews says he's trying to set up a package deal with teammate Conredge Collins.

"We're trying to set up a package deal but we're not sure how it's gonna work out," he said. "He likes Florida State and Miami. Those are the schools I like most but I haven't been getting any calls from Miami. We're probably going to visit Florida State together in January."

Andrews plans on being at the Miami/VaTech game in two weeks. He hopes to find out more about his status in the eyes of the UM coaches.

"I'm gonna check to see what's going on," he said. "I wanna see if they're still interested. I talked to Lovon (Ponder) the other day and he said the coaches still ask about me and that they think I'm a good player or whatever."
