"I'm only considering four schools still," he said. "I'm mostly favoring UM at this point."
At 6-feet and 170 pounds, Sharpe said he plans on playing cornerback at the next level as opposed to safety.
"I went to N.C. State earlier in the year and had a real good time. I enjoyed myself. But I ain't going to be taking any more visits."
Sharpe said he spent the Holiday break watching a lot of bowl games and when asked about the best performance, he quickly talked about the Rose Bowl.
"I watched the Rose Bowl and Miami was Miami," he said. "I knew it was going to happen that way. Miami just has better players than everyone else. I think the whole country got to see that against Nebraska."
Sharpe, who re-takes the SAT on Jan 26, says he'll likely announce his final decision on signing day. He does not have any in-home visits scheduled so far this week, although he says some coaches have discussed it.
Personally, I think it's obvious that Sharpe knows he's going to be a Hurricane. It's just a matter of time before he makes an official announcement.
