Mike Johnson Interview

The super running back takes his final visit this weekend to Virginia. Where do the Canes stand on his list? He talks about each of his favorites and another school that has crawled back into the picture.

I had a good conversation with running back Michael Johnson earlier tonight.

"I didn't end up going to Tennessee because we had a track meet," he said. "I set the meet record in the 55-indoors. It was a 6.45 on Saturday and then a 6.40 on Sunday."

Talk about speed, Johnson's got plenty of it! And college coaches have been racing to recruit him all year.

"I'm going to Virginia this week," he said. "Coach London came by the school today and talked to me. He's coming by [my house] right before my visit I think."

So is it still Virginia and Miami?

"Yeah, but Michigan State is in there too a little bit," he said. "They're coming by sometime this week to talk to me and my family. I just spoke to Coach Werner from Miami tonight. I like all these schools. Miami was my best visit, but Virginia is right here. I don't know what I am going to do."

The talented running back says he will likely wait till signing day to announce his final decision.

"I might as well wait," he said.
