Greg Threat Makes Decision

The talented defensive back from Tallahassee has narrowed his list down to two and talks about his final decision.

Tallahassee Lincoln standout defensive back Greg Threat knows where he's going. Unfortunately, I don't and he wasn't quite ready to tell me...yet.

"It's been real talking with you this year and I'll try to tell you first," he said. "I know where I am going, but I am not ready to announce it just yet."

Threat took a visit to Clemson this past weekend, and he talked about it.

"It was OK," he said. "But I didn't really like it that much. It wasn't anything like Syracuse. It's down to Miami and Syracuse."

Threat compared the two finalists.

"I had a great time at Syracuse," he said. "I like the family atmosphere they have there. Some of my former teammates are there and they like it. I also love Miami. A lot of family is down there, so it would be like going to a place that I'm sort of familiar with."

Threat will make an official visit to Miami this weekend along with teammate Pat Watkins.

"I talked to Coach Soldinger from Miami yesterday," he said. "He said he's trying to get the head coach to come by here and visit." Syracuse was in Threat's home tonight.

"I really can't say either way," he said. "I like them both a lot, but I can only pick one. I'm scheduled to visit Florida on January 25, but I'm not real interested in them anymore, so I doubt I'll even go."
