Mabry, 6-0 and 250 pounds, said he came away very impressed with his visit to UM this weekend.
"It was even better than I expected," he said. "I got a chance to hang out with a lot of players like Willie Williams and Charlie Jones. They were just telling me how nice everything is and stuff. Coming from great players like that, I know it must be tight."
Mabry also had a chance to meet with Coach Coker and Coach Soldinger.
"They're great people," he said. "They're actually supposed to be coming to my house sometime this week to talk to me again. They were just saying how they don't recruit a lot of fullbacks because they don't like bringing in one-dimensional guys and they know I can run, catch, or block."
Mabry, who ran for 1,200 yards as a senior, said he also enjoyed hanging out with other recruits.
"There was me, Spencer Adkins, and three linemen," he said. "Spencer and Reginald are real laid back like me. I think they're going (to Miami)."
Mabry had visits scheduled to Georgia Tech, Alabama, and South Carolina heading into the weekend.
"Na," he said. "I'm done with my visits. I'm cancelling the other ones. I'm gonna commit sometime by next week."
And fortunately for the UM, it looks like he's going to be picking the Hurricanes.
