In-State DT Closing in on Decision

The talented defensive lineman from Daytona Beach is getting close to making a final decision. He received an in-home visit from Miami this weekend and talks about his entire situation in this indepth interview.

The Daytona Beach (Mainland) standout has had a busy week.

Coaches from Michigan State and Miami (Soldinger) came by this week to visit with him.

At 6-3 and 300, McCullough has already taken two official visits.

"I've already been to Michigan State," he said. "It was OK. But my visit to South Florida last weekend was tight. I hung out with Baraka Atkins and we both liked it a lot."

McCullough says it's a four-team race.

"It's Miami, Michigan State, South Florida, and Virginia," he said. "I've cancelled everything with Clemson. It just didn't seem to be working out. I'm not going anywhere this weekend. I'm going to try to take a mid-week visit to Virginia, then go to Miami on the 25th."

McCullough said he's not sure where he's at on Miami's list, but he knows where they're at on his.

"Miami's very high on my list," he said. "They're having a real big weekend with visits and if they don't get any commitments, I'd really like them. He said they're going to be taking 3 or 4 defensive linemen."
