UM Lands Major Commitment

The Canes got a huge commitment from Greg Threat today. He picked the Hurricanes over the Gators and Orangemen in the end.

"I have committed to Miami," Tallahassee Lincoln defensive back Greg Threat said. "I picked Miami because I feel most comfortable there. I've been favoring them all year. Since I have a lot of family there, it's almost like another home away from home."

At 6-feet and 180, Threat says he's not sure whether he'll play cornerback or safety at UM - "I just want to help the team win."

Threat picked the Hurricanes over the Gators and Orangemen in the end.

"The future at Miami is very bright," he said. "They continue to get good players so they can compete for the championship every year. Plus, they have a real strong academic program."

Threat left Tallahassee this morning for an official visit to Miami, along with teammate Pat Watkins, who is also strongly considering the Hurricanes.
