Greg Threat (Commitment) Interview

Tallahassee Lincoln defensive back Greg Threat has known for quite awhile where he was going to college. He lets everyone know in this interview.

I broke the story of his commitment to UM late last week, and he confimed it tonight after his visit this weekend.

"I'm definitely going to Miami," he said. "It was everything I thought it would be and more. The players and coaches are really close together. They have a family foundation there. The academic program is real strong because of the small classes. That allows you get to more 1 on 1 learning with the teachers."

At 6-feet and 175, Threat is a full academic qualifier. He got to hang out with Ed Reed this weekend and also met Coach Coker for the first time.

"He is a real nice man," he said. "He's very down to earth and is very easy to talk to. He's a good coach to play for."

Threat said the Hurricanes told him they plan on signing five or six defensive backs.

"They're losing five after this season," he said. "They need to replace all of their starters and they were really good. They need to get replacements who are that good and I'm excited about being one of them. With the players Miami has and the ones they're recruiting, I can see them competing for national championships for a long time."

Threat offered this on teammate Pat Watkins - "Pat really liked the visit too," he said. "He likes Miami a lot too."

Personally, I think Watkins will join Threat as part of the Hurricane family on Feb 6.
