"I just walked in from Oklahoma a few minutes ago," he said tonight. "It went pretty good, but since I went on a weekday, there really wasn't much to do out there. I went to Florida over the weekend and had a good time. There were lots of Miami guys there - Darnell Jenkins, Terrell [McGill], John Wood, and also a defensive lineman named Brodrick Bunkley."

So how much did the Gators want Brown?

"Well, when I got home, they were here talking to my parents. Coach Ron Zook and Coach Red [Anderson] are here now. I enjoyed the Florida visit the most and they provide a good situation for me, but there's always the "but". I dont think I want to leave town."

At 6-foot-5 and 267, Brown will make his scheduled visit to Miami this weekend. However, before he comes, he'll receive a visit from a host of Miami coaches.

"Coach Coker, Coach Shannon, and Coach Mark are coming by my house tomorrow. So is Oklahoma."

Brown says he might take a final trip to Michigan State next weekend if it's not snowing in East Lansing.

"I'll probably wait till around signing day," he said. "I still like Miami, but Florida has a good situation for me."

Personally, I have felt all year, despite not having played a down, that Brown would soon become a Hurricane. I think it's just days away from becoming official.
