"I picked Miami," Brown said. "I made it official tonight. In the end, it came down to me staying home. I just didn't want to go anywhere. I have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family here."
At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Brown picked the Hurricanes over the Gators in the end.
"I think we're going to be awesome in the years to come," he said. "Most people that rank recruiting classes don't get to see a lot of guys play. I've seen guys like Glenn Sharpe and Sinorice Moss play. I have played against them. I know you've seen them play. They might be 2-star recruits to everyone else, but we know how good they are. I feel we have a great team coming back next year and this is going to be a great recruiting class. I feel like I'll be winning two national championships at Miami."
