Jersey Star Talks Recruiting

Knowshon (no-shon) Moreno knows a thing or two about scoring touchdowns. He's been doing it for a long time.

"I've always been good at finding the endzone," Moreno, who scored 40 of them as a junior, said. "That's where I need to be."

At 6-feet and 200 pounds, Knowshon Moreno is coming off a strong junior campaign when he finished the year with 1,500 yards. Now he's gearing up for a big senior season.

Moreno, who carries a 3.0 GPA and has not yet reported a test score, has emerged as one of the top overall prospects in the state of New Jersey. He is being recruited nationally.

"I'm at Georgia's camp right now," he said. "Things are going really well here. Previously, I've been to Rutgers, Maryland, and the Virginia schools. All of them have offered me plus teams like Oklahoma and Michigan."

With offers from all over the country, Moreno knows he has a tough decision ahead of him.

"I don't have any favorites yet," he said. "I'm still trying to narrow things down and just make my decision when it comes to me."

The talented Jersey back says he's being recruited by Florida and Miami as well although he hasn't gotten a scholarship offer yet.

"Miami's a great school with a lot of tradition," he said. "They have a very successful program. They're on me but they haven't offered me anything yet. I guess they're gonna wait and see what happens. I dont know a whole lot about them right now."
