WR Torn Between Two

Preston Parker has been nearly unstoppable so far this season. In three games plus a Kickoff Classic, Parker has 14 receptions for 364 yards and five touchdowns. While averaging 26 yards per catch, Parker is enjoying his senior season.

"It's going pretty good so far," Parker said. "It's about what I expected. I'm seeing a lot of double coverages but I've learned to deal with those and just go about my business as usual. We lost last week so we need to get back on track."

Preston Parker, 6-0 and 175 pounds, is clearly one of the state's top wide receiver prospects. He's getting recruited as one too. He's been keeping busy.

"I watched the Florida State/Miami game and I went to Florida vs Tennessee," he said. "The FSU/Miami game was kinda slow on offense and I was a little surprised FSU pulled it out in the end. Miami has a young quarterback and they just needed more time for the offense to gel."

The ability to watch a game in person at the Swamp on Saturday made a difference to the talented receiver.

"That was a crazy atmosphere," he said. "The fans were going nuts. It was really loud and exciting. They take that rivalry very serious. It was a good game and I had a good time."

Parker says two programs still stand out at this point -- UM and Florida State.

"Miami and FSU are the two main ones," he said. "I know those will be two of my visits. Right now, they're both tied at the top. There are positives and negatives about each of them and right now it's too early to tell which one I like more. They're at the top though."

Florida, Louisville, and NC State are among the others trying to convince Parker to take a visit.
