Coker on Various Players

Head coach Larry Coker addressed the media earlier today during his weekly Tuesday press conference. Coker addressed a number of players today.

Coker on...

QB Kyle Wright

"He's learning the offense better each week. He is quicker with his progressions and his ball release is quicker."

RB Andrew Johnson

"I think it is pretty remarkable what he did Saturday. We didn't rush him back, we used him on the scout team and then with the offense. Hopefully this week he is more confident. He has good size and speed, good running skills, and is smooth."

WR Lance Leggett

"I am very happy for him and he is a good player for us. We need him to be a good player for us. His touchdown was a heck of a nice catch and hopefully it will build up his confidence. There is no reason for him not to be confident because he is a good player."

TE Buck Ortega

"Hopefully he is coming back this week."

DE Bryan Pata

"Right now he is immobilized and is day-to-day. He will not practice today. He has not had an MRI, but might have one later this week or next week when the swelling goes down."

DE Thomas Carroll

"We hope to have Thomas back this week."

DE Eric Moncur

"He is a physical player who has a tremendous first step. He is hard to block. We could use him on the left side in place of Pata."

DE Courtney Harris

"We can't block him on the scout team. He'll be an outstanding player for us."

CB Kelly Jennings

"He doesn't have a seperated shoulder--it is more like a shoulder bruise, which is tough to get better playing on defense."

CB Bruce Johnson

"He studies the game and doesn't make mistakes. He has a natural feel for the game and in his coverage skills. He is just a good football player."
