Recruiting Update: Derrick Morse

Last year it was Randy Hand, and this year's top prospect at Estero is offensive lineman Derrick Morse, a very talented lineman who likes the Canes early on.

At 6-foot-4 and 294 pounds, Estero offensive lineman Derrick Morse will be among the state's top O-Line prospects this season. As a junior last season, Morse was a first team All-District selection in addition to being named first team All-Conference and third team All-State.

Inside the classroom, Morse is already a full qualifier. Morse, who also throws the shot put and discus, was among the top offensive line prospects at this year's NIKE Training Camp.

On a questionnaire, Morse indicates that his early favorites are Florida, Miami, Virginia, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. He does not yet have any scholarship offers.

Note, for my full evaluation of Morse, check out the story called NIKE Camp - Offensive Tackles.
