Tervaris Johnson planning official visit

Scout.com 3-star safety prospect Tervaris Johnson has a short list of school's in mind and says that he'll be taking an official trip to Louisville later this year

Described as one of the most physical players in the Sunshine State, Miami Monsignor Pace High School's Tervaris Johnson is drawing heavy interest from a number of programs throughout the southeast region.

The Scout.com 3-star safety prospect has great 4.4 speed to go along with his 6-foot-3, 212-pound frame, making him the type of secondary athlete that coaches dream of having.

"I play everything really," Johnson said. "most coaches want me as a safety, but it doesn't matter."

While his list of scholarship offers is impressive, Johnson currently lists four that standout above the others.

"Florida, Miami, NC State and Louisville are the one's I'm looking at the most right now," Johnson said.

However, while a few have climbed to the top of his current short list of favorites, Johnson intends to take his time and official visits before making a college decision.

"I'm kind of wide open really," he continued. "I'm going to talk to my dad about taking my visits. I'm planning on visiting Louisville, but I don't have a date yet."
